Desiccant Air Dryers
Desiccant Air Dryers, like all industrial compressed air dryers, are important to compressed air systems because they eliminate water vapor from compressed air to deliver completely dry air. Water and humidity have the potential to harm equipment or the processes for which industrial equipment is used. Desiccant air dryers are a safe compressed air dryer alternative because they use an absorbent material called desiccant to absorb any humidity in the air, similar to silica gel packets but on an industrial scale, Desiccant within the air dryer can also bring the dew-point of the water vapor down to at least -40°C. Desiccant air dryers typically use a two cylinder system; one cylinder dries the air while the other cylinder is being regenerated.
