Refrigerated Air Dryers are used in industrial applications where dry air need only be cooled to around 40°F. Two heat exchanges are used to drop the temperature of incoming air using the exiting air.  This dual heat exchanger process allows for the refrigerated air dryer to use a smaller compressor but causes the produced dry air to not be as cold as a desiccant dryer.
